What is the Urban Artist Mentoring Program?

The Urban A.M.P. (Artist Mentorship Program) is designed to impact lives through one-on-one mentorship with real artist practitioners in our city. We believe that the best way to learn creative expression is learning it from seasoned artists who are truly passionate about their art form. This program makes it possible for the underprivileged and underserved to have access to high quality artistic mentorship. This is done through partnerships with local agencies to provide their students with options to find their passion. This program is for students between the ages 7 - 18.  If you are an agency, organization, or entity who serves youth between the ages of 7-18 please fill out the AGENCY PARTNERSHIP APPLICATION below.

 HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS

The URBAN A.M.P. program works in conjunction with various approved organizations and agencies in the region to provide free mentoring services. These agencies must meet certain criteria for approval of partnership. The goal of this program is to provide the much needed connection to the community artists who have a passion to offer their time and skills to help the next generation of artists. In order to take part in this program, the student must currently be enrolled, participating, or referred by the “Partner Agency”. If you represent an agency
