Growing up, Mitch naturally fell in love with the guitar. The first real cathartic experience he had with the guitar was when he purchased his first cd. It was a collection album by BB King. From that moment on, he deeply wanted to learn and master the guitar! So he got his first electric guitar for Christmas when he was 9-years-old and started taking lessons.
It was much later on however, when he started to really develop his ear as a musician, and became much more of a naturally gifted artist. He began to write and record music as well as play locally in different coffee shops and churches throughout the city. He would later take music theory from Julliard and would continue to pursue writing and recording Jazz/Blues music with some incredible musicians from around the world.
Currently, he is working on releasing a new cd entirely dedicated to Jazz and Blues instrumental music. On a completely different side note, he served four years in youth ministry which really helped him deepen his passion for working with teenagers.
"I would love to be able to combine my three passions: music, teaching, and mentoring students, which is why I'm interested in the 402."
