Evelyn Lindgren has been an active pianist, accompanist, and instructor in the Omaha area for more than five years. She began piano at a young age, studying with her mother, Michelle Lindgren, who is also an active pianist and performer in the area. Growing up surrounded by classical music led her to pursue a degree in Piano Performance at the University of Nebraska at Omaha with Dr. James Johnson.
Since her graduation in 2014, Evelyn has worked to continue her education in various ways. She currently studies with Anne Madison, a nationally certified teacher of music, and has performed in masterclasses with Andrew Tyson, and with renowned British polymath Stephen Hough. In the summer of 2015, she travelled to Innsbruck, Austria, to study at the Tyrolean International Piano Academy. In addition to her studies, she returned as an alumna to perform with Ensemble 768, UNO's contemporary music ensemble, for their 2014-2015 season.
As a teacher, Evelyn loves to encourage all genres of music in all settings. She hopes to encourage the interests of each student, while challenging them to always explore new types of music.
