Eric is a singer, musician, educator, photographer, and overall lover of the arts from Norfolk, Nebraska. He moved to Omaha about a year and a half ago to do student teaching for his degree in K-12 Vocal and Instrumental Music Education and a Minor in Art from Wayne State College. He actually began college with a major in Graphic Design but switch to music in the first year of school. He graduated in May of 2015 and has been living in Omaha since. Ever since he was young he remembers loving to sing and as soon as he could began playing trombone in elementary school. After beginning at Wayne State College and getting a chance to learn from the wealth of amazing instructors there he has since learned at least 5 other instruments and desires to keep learning more. His primary focus in college for his education degree was Vocal music but he also learned piano, guitar, cello, and more. The great instruction at WSC provided him not only with the knowledge and skills to teach music, but also the desire to teach and share in all that music can offer everyone. While in college he had many great learning opportunities like touring with the college's band and choir to Scotland and England to perform in 2011 and performing as the Wayne State College representative at the NAfME (National Association for Music Educators) conference in the fall of 2014.
Eric's love for photography began around the year of 2011 and ever since he has been learning more progressing in his own abilities. Since then he has began photographing semi-professionally (as Eric Klima Photography) and has taken pictures for engagements, events, weddings, and a number of personal projects. He loves new challenges and is always looking for new ideas. In the last year he has also begun doing more and more work as a sound technician and enjoys that as well. He loves teaching lessons and enjoys to help others progress and reach goals of their own. He spends a lot of his free time playing music, reading, or working on some photography projects.
