The daughter of an artist, Amanda has been creating since she was a young child. Art has always been a huge influence on her life, and she has always had a strong passion for creative expression. In grade school, Amanda took every art class available to her, which meant she learned everything from traditional drawing techniques, to pottery, to needle felting, and more. This led her to a constant exploration of a broad spectrum of mediums, subject matter, and techniques, a practice she still continues in her personal work today.
Realizing she had a passion for sharing art of every kind with others, Amanda attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where she earned her BFA in printmaking, a K-12 teaching certification, and a minor in art history. After college, she taught K-6 art with OPS for 4 years, and now she is excited to continue doing what she loves with the 402 Arts Collective, and is available for instructing drawing, painting with watercolor, acrylic, or oil, mixed media art, fiber arts, book binding, and more.
